"The lands of the northern periphery of Europe are dramatic in geography,
harsh in climate and sparse in people, and apparently characterised by
adversity. Despite this, women, for so long the backbone of rural communities,
are finding innovative ways to forge new ideas and sustain successful lives.
This video present female entrepreneurs who are breaking new ground and the
contrasting issues that the area creates for them: the challenges it poses, the
inspiration it provides, the traditions at stake and the technology being
harnessed to help them achieve fulfilment in isolated homelands.
Videoen er utmerket for eksempel til bruk i undervisning, for organisasjoner, nettverk og prosjekter med tema kvinner og distriktsutvikling/ næringsutvikling. Den kan kjøpes hos Kvinneuniversitetet Nord.
